How long will it take to restore the piece?
On average, the entire traditional kintsugi process will take at least two to three months from start to finish.
Will the piece remain food-safe after the restoration?
Yes.
Kintsugi Terrace uses the traditional mending method with natural urushi lacquer (urushi tree sap). No epoxy or synthetic glue used.
What information is required for a quotation request?
Please include the following information:
- What are the dimensions of the piece?
- What are the dimensions of the chipped/broken areas?
- Is the piece glazed in the interior and/or the exterior?
- Are there any missing pieces?
- Are you planning on using the piece for anything other than display?
- Please provide photos showing the piece (front & back) and the damaged areas.
