The small oval plate is handcrafted by Japanese ceramic artist Yumiko Iihoshi.
I fell in love with the dark green color at first sight.

The rim was chipped, so it was repaired using kintsugi and finished with 金消粉(kin-keshifun/ 24k gold). Originally, there were two small chips on the rim, so I combined them into one slightly larger kintsugi design.

The beautiful dark green color accented by the kintsugi made my appreciation for my favorite ceramics even deeper.

I feel like I’ve connected with a wonderful ceramic artist through Kintsugi.

深緑色に一目惚れ
縁が欠けてしまったため、金継ぎでお直しし金消粉で仕上げ装飾を

今回は、元々は小さな欠けが縁に2ヶ所合ったので、
少し大きめに1つにまとめて金継ぎデザインをしました

美しい深緑色に、金継ぎがアクセントになって
お気に入りの器に、一段と愛着が湧きます

金継ぎで、素敵な器アーティストさんと繋がれた気分です（片思いです笑）
