Toronto Ceramic Artist & Kintsugi Restoration

kintsugi with toronto ceramic artist

That ceramic plate was restored with kintsugi and was one of the artworks crafted by Anna May Henry, a Toronto’s ceramic artist and illustrator. Bitondo’s pizzeria is an iconic restaurant in the city. Its retro interiors and typography arouse a nostalgia. Kintsugi ceramic restoration preserves memories and highlights damage as part of the plate’s history. It was such a great project to preserve the local piece as the artist celebrated the local retro style with the commemorative plate. Great to see Kintsugi fused with Toronto retro.

I was so grateful to work on one great local ceramic artwork for two lovely owners of the plate.
